My ultimate goal is to be an OB/GYN so I can help mothers who struggle to be mothers in the first place. Life is so precious, and I want to aid those who have a harder time bringing it into the world by specializing in high-risk pregnancies. I want to help bring new lives into this world with the hope that they will discover their happiness and spread it to those who have yet to discover it. I will do what I can to initiate these relationships at the very beginning for those who have the hardest time getting started.
At the moment, my main short-term goal is to get a degree from my university and to get accepted into medical school. For now, it seems arbitrary which medical school I attend, but I am looking into UT Southwestern because it is close to home, and I’ve shadowed there before. Following the achievement of my medical degree I will pursue a residency program that excels in obstetrics and gynecology, along with fellowships and programs for further specialization in high-risk pregnancies. Throughout my schooling I plan to participate in volunteer activities and EMT work.
Recently I’ve decided that I would like to study abroad in Rome and Greece, because I’m very interested in the classical civilizations. It may not contribute directly to my medical career but learning about different kinds of people is always beneficial when one plans to lead a life working with all kinds of people.
