Coffee shops are a special place. When done correctly, they can be a huge boost to a community. Through the promotion of local talent, such as artists and musicians, and weekly events, such as family movie nights, a coffee shop can be both profitable and beneficial in drawing a community together. That is the dream. I have always grown up loving coffee, as my dad has worked with coffee for 22 years. His passion has been passed on to me, and I want disperse that passion to those around me. I have noticed that you do not have to love coffee in order to love coffee shops. Local coffee shops have a certain atmosphere that brings people together in ways that are not thought of otherwise. They are perfect for alone time to study, one-on-one time with that special someone, group meetings, and more. Coffee shops are community enhancers, atmospheric to all demographics, and personal. As a barista myself, I can say that most of my joy comes from customer interaction and getting to know the people who come to the shop. It is for these reasons that my dream job would be to own my very own coffee shop.
