If I could do what I love the most while earning a living, I would be a teacher, specifically a math teacher. Math is the universal language, there are not different languages when it comes to math, everyone can understand even with language barriers in the way. Being a teacher could change the world if done correctly. Teachers have the opportunity to shape the minds of young adults through their teachings. Children make up a good portion of the world, so being a teacher has a major impact on the future and how future adults will think and act. Teachers have a large and stressful task, transforming children into successful members of society. Even with this daunting task, teachers have the unique opportunity of sharing new ideas with the future members of society; no other profession has the privilege of interacting with the future leaders and scientists of the future like a teacher has. An obvious goal to make this dream a reality would be to acquire a teaching certificate to be able to teach. Another, more long term goal, would be to interact with as many young adults as possible and show them the world of math creating a relationship between math and the student. The teaching goal I would promote is to make sure that the kids I would teach know that learning math is like learning a new language that is universal and can be taken and spoken anywhere.
