If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, I would find joy in rehabbing the past. Whether it be bringing a house back to its former beauty or repurposing antique furniture to how it was many years ago. Everyone tries to change existing history and I’m in love with keeping things at their original state. America’s history shows through structural items and to be able to restore some of that would be like preserving our history. Researching the history and beauty of a house or furniture would be the key in making sure you stay true to what it once was. If I were able to earn a living rehabbing our past, it would allow the present to walk through the past. The present could enjoy a part of America’s history and beauty. They could truly admire handmade craftsmanship and creativity that really doesn’t exist now. They sing, “America the Beautiful” for many reasons and I’d try my very best to use that motivation in all I rehabbed, keeping our beautiful history alive.
