If I could live doing what I love best it would be becoming a Montgomery County Police Officer. Ever since junior year after my first ride along I couldn’t imagine doing anything else with my life. Everyone knows that as a police officer your job is to help anyone and everyone at anytime. I am aware of that commitment and if I could do it tomorrow I would.
February 17, 2013 was when I was hired as a Montgomery County Police Intern after that day my life changed forever. It has changed in a way that I couldn’t imagine. As an intern I have devoted my life everyday to do what it takes to help in anyway I can. I have received a lot of criticism from other officers about my devotion for something I don’t get paid for. My answer every time is “When you do what you love and love what you do a paycheck is worthless”.
4 years from now after becoming a police officer I will change the world by taking the time to go above the call of duty by making sure that every call I go to I put 110% in by making sure that no robbery goes unsolved, no domestic goes without questioning, and no murder goes without a suspect. Again you ask how can I change the world as a police officer and the answer is after my 4 days 10 hour shift my job is not and will not be over. I bleed blue and black and that will never change until the day I die.
