Every year, there are hundreds of abandoned and neglected animals without homes. Becoming a veterinarian and one day owning my own No-kill animal shelter will change the world one helpless animal at a time. Spaying and neutering animals prevents them from having even more animals that would be without homes. My passion could change the world by housing and taking care of the animals that cannot take care of themselves. Finding the proper homes for them would change their lives for the better, and neutering/spaying them would better their lives as well. I currently work at Petsmart as a pet care associate, and nothing brings me more joy than seeing a little kid adopt his first cat or even a tiny goldfish. Having the education and skills to pursue my aspirations could change my world. Getting this scholarship would draw me closer to my future career, and would help fund my education. With or without this scholarship, I will still be driven to my goals because education is everything to me. I will be the first in my household to graduate from college, which means a lot to my parents and myself. Thinking of all the neglected animals in abusive homes and on the street helps me remember why I am in college and why I must keep going towards my future.
