Music has always been a big part of my life. I’ve been through some ups and downs but I always managed to clear out all the negativity in my life by just closing my eyes and listening to music. Currently, I’m a self employed disc jockey (DJ) who strives to one day be the best at what I do. I started DJing at the age of 14 in a hospital in Gainesville, Florida. The reason for this is because my brother got into a severe car accident, which resulted him attaining traumatic brain injury. Before he got into the accident he gave me a DJ controller and program so that I will be able to mix all of the music I enjoy. I was determined to pursue my dream to be a DJ so I sat next to my brother’s hospital bed learning online how to DJ. From that day forward being a professional DJ is all I dreamed about. I’ve already set goals for myself and I pursue those goals on a day-to-day basis. For example, I make sure I take 2 hours or more out of my day to mix randomly selected songs of every genre out of my iTunes library without making any mistakes. Music changed my life but I know that I’m not the only one in the world who feels that way. DJ’s give off positive vibes to people across the world. It’s only a matter of time till you want to be a DJ.
