When we grow up as kids, we always have our dream job in mind. We are encouraged to pursue our dreams and told we can do anything we want. Sadly, as we get older, a lot of us lose touch with our dreams and unfortunately give up on them, going off into the real world of cubicles and desk jobs. That’s just the way it goes. However, I can with one hundred percent certainty say that I do not fall into this category. Ever since I can remember, I dreamed of owning my own company or business. As I discovered I had an interest in medicine, my focus became one day owning my own medical device company, and I truly believe I can do this. I want to one day create a product that is the latest and greatest in medical technology, a medical device that will truly aid its users and help them live a better quality of life. If other people can do the same, why cant I? Why not me?
In order to make this happen, I’m currently majoring in biomedical engineering in my final year of undergrad. I’m not one to be shy as I’m always seeking out local entrepreneurs and experts in the medical device field. I have sent countless emails and even set up a few meetings with them, all with the sole purpose of looking for advice on what I need to do to make my dreams into a reality.
