My Dream Career
A living I could earn doing what I love to do would be Writing Fiction and Nonfiction. I feel I have a skill for writing stories and it is what has caught my interest since high school. I completed four classes in creative writing, one being a novel class. I want to change the world by creating an impacting science fiction, fantasy, or nonfiction novel that conveys a meaningful message.
Attaining a dream job in creative writing is not always an easy task as there are many people, who love to write, but I believe I can do it because it is my passion. Writing fiction and nonfiction requires expressing emotion through characters, whether it is about our own personal conflicts, or a fictive world created by the writer. I love to write stories about both my struggles and the struggles of a character to show the world the type of message I am trying to convey through plot and character development. If I get this scholarship I feel it will help me in this field to reach my potential.
I am currently a student at California State University Long Beach and go to school full-time. I dedicate myself to my schoolwork and mainly writing essays and short stories. I ask to please grant my request as it will both help me attain this dream job and impact the world through my stories.
