First and foremost, I aspire to be a vibrant and healthy individual with focus and commitment to God, my family, my community, and my country. With this foundation, I have established my life goals that consist of education and career aspirations, embedded with service to my community-at-large.
My short-term goal is to focus on my college career in the field of international studies and world history. I want to fulfill my goal of understanding global events and the issues and conflicts that people face in different societies.
My long-term goal for the future is to be the bridge that covers the gap between foreign countries and the United States. It has been a lifelong dream to help people understand and accept our differences and similarities. I wish to acquire an International Relations degree from a four-year college with further graduate work in this area. Eventually, I want to combine my knowledge of history and my passion for international studies and apply these strengths in an ambassadorial or diplomatic role with the Foreign Service.
I am hopeful that you deem me deserving of your scholarship. My mother is very ill, and our families finances are drained. I assure you that I will pay it forward in my scholastic achievements, and ultimately to my family and my community-at-large. This is my promise to you.
