How can I change the world doing what I love? I graduated from high school in 2014, with a GPA of 3.85. My school interests were Spanish, art, archery and long distance running. I really like to paint, and I’ve won several art contests. Other things I enjoy doing are riding unicycle, juggling, and playing guitar. I’ve been a member of the worship team at chapel.
During this past year, I have felt a huge, overwhelming pressure to know for sure what I wanted to do with my life after I graduated high school. I have always known that somehow I want to do something that would make a difference for God’s kingdom. I had plans to go to fire fighters academy with a full sponsorship. I thought I had my life sorted out; I was going to be a fire fighter. God obviously had other plans for me, because as soon as I graduated high school, quickly all my plans fell apart. The sudden realization that I now had no plans whatsoever hit me very hard. I decided that I would just be patient and wait for God to open a new door for me.
That new door was my decision to go to Ozark Christian College to be a worship leader. I love to worship. Though it may not get me a lot of money, I feel that this would be a good way to do something I enjoy. I would be able to lead people into the presence of God, which, by its nature, is life changing.
