I was born into a family of divers. I have always loved the water, and I fell in love with SCUBA diving the first time I watched divers go down from off the beach when I was little. My parents started me out with my first set of mask, snorkel and fins, and I became hooked after my first free dive into the water to observe the fish in the sea. It was after watching JAWS for the first time and after my first year watching through Shark Week that my passionate focus went right into sharks. After graduating from High School, I got SCUBA certified and then started shark diving. I know that my life purpose is to be a shark scientist. I want to help sharks, to save the oceans, to save and help us. I am an honor student that accepted an invitation for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I work hard and put my whole heart in what I do. This shark passion drives me every day. My plan is to go on to University through to my PhD in the marine sciences with a research focus on sharks. I will be another scientist that helps the continued efforts to save the planet and humankind through my research on sharks. My future is bright and I am confident in myself that I will succeed. I just need others to have confidence in me too and I need support to be able to continue going to college.
