Doing what you love, makes the idea of working for the next fifty years not nearly as scary as it sounds. I have seen so many people work jobs they hate just to make ends meet, I think we’ve all been there though. Working a job that we dread going to everyday. I want to pursue a career in surgical nursing because I believe this field allows me to do my favorite thing, and that is to help people. Having surgery can be extremely nerve racking for some people. In this field I get the opportunity to be compassionate and supportive to people through a trying time in their life. Showing everyday compassion can have such a great effect on the world. I would hope that it inspires others to be more compassionate and supportive of all people. We as a society tear each other down, we are jealous, angry, and vengeful, but just maybe one small act of compassion could be infectious.
