The biggest challenge of doing what you love most is truly caring about leaving your positive mark on the world.I joined the Coast Guard to help people and the environment and I loved it dearly but, felt like I could do a lot more for the environment if given the opportunities to do so.My specific goals are finish my degree in Environmental Watershed Conservation and Restoration and get in a position that I could not only have input in major water projects for reclamation, wild life, urban and rural applications, but teach in the field as well to youth, public, state, federal and private sector. The youth especially need positive role models for the environment teachings to preserve the natural beauty of everything around us. I know it’s a corny cliche but “Plant the seed and it will Grow “. We have to create a paradigm shift in the environmental thought process of everyone and it starts with the youngest if we achieved this we will continue to enjoy the outdoors what me and my family love most.
