One never knows when they touch someone; a simple smile, a helping hand or even just someone to talk to can greatly impact one’s life. My family has been very blessed with the opportunity to live in multiple countries around the world. Travelling to different countries and living in different cultures taught me how fortunate I am and because of that I help out in my local community wherever I live. It is very important to give back to the community- especially when you are able to give back. While living in England, I greatly enjoyed volunteering at a RSPCA shelter for abused and abandoned animals and horse stables. Volunteering at these places showed me what truly makes me happy; I love being around animals and making the animals happy. I believe humans have the responsibility to care for animals. Each living creature has a unique personality and I always made sure they were cared for in every possible way I could. Not only, do I receive the delight of making animals happy but I touch people as well. Watching young children looking for a new family member, and giving one a home is priceless. My goal in life is to become a veterinarian for a humane society. I wish to be rewarded with a career that I will thrive in, and be proud of, while providing for my family and giving back to the community. Volunteering throughout college and a college degree will help me achieve these dreams.
