If I could earn a living doing what I love most, I would be an artist. There is nothing in the world BETTER than creating! I want my art to make a difference in people’s lives and inspire hope. I also want to inspire other artists, and dispel the ‘starving artist’ stigma. I believe you can be successful at your craft if you work hard, plan, and don’t give up.
Some of the goals I have set to make my dreams a reality are furthering my education, finding a mentor, and trusting the process. I am a self taught artist for the most part, and I have had very little formal training. I understand the importance of education and also the developing of skill. My intent is to not just learn about art, but to develop technique, skill and other practical usage. I also would like to find a mentor to guide me along the way. This is a path I have never been on before, and I am beginning to realize that navigating it would be much easier with someone to show me the way. Lastly, I am learning to trust the process. Perseverance is such a hard thing when giving up is so easy. I understand that to get to where I want to be is a process. I just want to make it there so that one day I can show someone else the way.
