Changing the world through my writing would have seemed like an impossible task 3 years back, but now I ambitiously work hard to have my dream job of being a music writer for Universal music and teach creative writing. The blessing of being able to continue school and go to college has put light on my once shaded world. I’ve learned about poets and writers who have moved thousands of people. Governments have banished poets in past rebellions because of the power words hold.
I plan to change the world with every goal achieved. I have already started by setting an example for young women who don’t have the funds to go to college. Every young woman I see that believes college is unattainable I show them the stories that women wrote about overcoming education blocks that motivated me. I plan to intern at a music company and gain a network of people that I can work and learn with in the future. When graduation nears I plan to apply to work at Universal music, and later turn my work over to teaching creative writing courses. I have learned that reality is what you make it, and if changing the world is that reality wanted all it takes is ambition with a positive attitude.
