In my nineteen years on earth, I have been greatly inspired by the voices of others. My parents taught my to read when I was three years old and to this day I always fall asleep with books underneath my pillow. My love for literature began as I followed Hobbits through Middle Earth and has brought me on adventures ever since. I am in love with words. The human voice fascinates me. There are over seven billion people on earth and each have a unique story to tell. I want spend my life telling these stories. Literature has the timeless power to reach a vast number of people in numerous ways. Creativity and self expression are important aspects of human individuality and I want to use these tools to change how people see themselves and see each other. Words are powerful. They can hurt or they can heal. I want to use my words to write books, essays, and poetry that will enhance the lives of others. There are many authors that I read and feel connected to. There are lines of poetry that I have taken great solace in. I want to create work that inspires others and solicits conversation. I write every single day, drawing from my own life and the lives of others to add to a portfolio that I will hopefully be able to publish. If I am able to earn even a meager living while writing, I know I will be content.
