A riddle, yes, I want to start off with a riddle. It’ll be fun. Just open up and think; “At the sound of me, men may dream or stamp their feet. At the sound of me, women laugh or sometimes weep.“ Solved it? Let me explain.
There is a distinction between a goal and a dream. A dream is something dicey while a goal is more concrete…obtainable. Goals are the steeping stones to dreams. I, for one, am in love with music (by the way it’s the answer to the riddle). The power it holds over humanity is inconceivable. The way music picks up what words nor silence cannot express is unreal. People relate through music. There is no thinking involved. This is what I want to make a living off of. I wish to use my violin to create sounds only the heart can hear, to connect people to point we understand one another.
Aright, my goals, the obvious is to continue playing my violin. What happens when playing off music sheets becomes dull? This is where I must dig deep within for the notes my own heart desires to produce through my stings. So I must listen not to myself but the sounds sometimes blocked out in the world. I must listen to the sounds of cheers and laughter, weeping and frustration in order for my own heart to create. This is the main goal I must accomplish. I must hear all noises.
