Maya Angelou once said, “Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” When I was a little girl, I thought being a doctor was the only way one could save the people who were in need of help. Growing up in my teenage years, it came to my attention that I was wrong. If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, it’d be to have an organization that helps young kids and a PhD in law.
Frequently, one might be struggling with life, having a low self-esteem, or just wanting to give up. It might be because this kid has been raped or abused. No one really knows because they’re scared to cry for help, or maybe because they’ve been threatened; these are the kids I want to help. I want to have an organization where these young kids have someone they can trust, whenever they need a shoulder to cry on. I want to have a place where there can call “home”, do charity work to raise money for them. They also need someone to teach them, not to let anyone become a vacuum, and suck the happiness out of them.
Finally, they need to surround themselves with people who are only going to lift them higher, and I want to become that SOMEONE! As long as you set up your mind on something, you can become anything in this world; and these goals will begin from one place – Florida International University.
