My Plan

Essay Question: If you could earn a living doing what you love most, what would it be, and how would it change the world? Describe the specific goals you would set to make that dream a reality.

If I could earn a living doing what I love the most, it would be teaching others about music. Music is something that we all carry inside but as we grow it is imprisoned within us. We got to that state as we grow letting ourselves be influenced by negative thoughts of unsuccessful people that do not fight to achieve the established goals and follow their dreams.

In summary, we will live in a better world if everyone allows the music that lives trapped within them to flow and get alive. Life would be like a beautiful melody, harmonized by chords in rhythm within the established tempo. Everything would be utopia if only we stop to think what we would like to be. A characteristic present in every successful person in achieving the stated goals is to follow a plan. Without the existence of such a plan it would be like driving your car without a final destination.

My plan:

1) Complete a Master Certificate in Theory, Harmony and Ear Training from Berklee College of music. Currently taking the fourth course out of 8 – Complete by June 2015.

2) Complete a self ear training course (I have completed the first 4 lessons out of 24 of “Relative Pitch Super Course” by David Lucas Burge) – Complete by May 2015.

3) Take private jazz lessons once a week. This part is where everything comes together. I will continue taking them until I reach the desired level.
