My goal ever since I was a child was simple: choose a job you would enjoy. Even as a child, I knew inside that I clicked with technology. My mother always encouraged me to become an engineer however, I was unsure if I wanted to pursue a career in the technology field. Through the years, I had a difficult time finding the career that was a perfect fit. I was very unsettled until I started an internship at Shin Etsu (SEH America) during my junior year. I worked with projects such as computer builds and it was a very valuable experience. In the end when it came down to choosing my career path, my mother (as much as one may not like to admit) was right. After researching, I decided that I wanted to become a hardware computer engineer. I’m in love with the idea of designing and experimenting with computer hardware. I plan to attend CSU Sacramento this fall to work towards my bachelors degree in computer engineering. A goal of mine is to get hired for another internship and to get a job right after college. I want to create or help develop things such as circuit boards or computer chips to improve the technology world. It only takes an idea to make the world go around.
