At age 15 was accepted into the elite program at the School of Music in Odessa, Ukraine.
Continued on to one of the premier music Universities in the world: Kiev State Conservatory, where I received a Masters degree in Teaching and Performing arts.
Throughout my higher education I have held Violin Instructor positions first at the Kiev Music School and then at the Conservatory.

My Professional Career in Ukraine and USA includes performance with numerous symphony and chamber groups, such as Kiev Chamber Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, San Jose Symphony.
I am passionate and dedicated to my Art which is reflected in my teaching style and in the results my students consistently achieve.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Nancy C. grew up in the Bay Area in Northern California. She began her studies in piano at the young age of four. After a few years of college studying physics, she went into the corporate workfield. Deciding that her corporate career was unsatisfactory, she went back to college to study music. She studied with Ellen Wassermann at CSU Hayward focusing in piano performance where she received her Bachelor's in Music.

Nancy continued her education at CSU Hayward to obtain her master’s degree in 2005. Her focus changed from performance to music composition where she studied with Frank La Rocca. In addition to teaching private piano lessons, Nancy also teaches for the Oakland East Bay Symphony's MUSE program, which brings professional musicians to public schools without music and arts program. My music education began at age 8 when, after a year of pestering my parents, I got my first guitar. My self-taught forays began casually at first, until I was introduced to the likes of Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton (the Cream years) and then later, Frank Marino, John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola, and Allan Holdsworth. By age 15, it was "all about the guitar: eat-sleep-school-guitar," with many countless hours burning the midnight oil, deciphering the solos of my heroes. I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after high school and began studying guitar under the mentor-ship of virtuoso Marc Bonilla (who has worked with such luminaries as Ronnie Montrose, Derek Sherinian, Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and Glenn Hughes of Deep Purple). Bonilla has since moved to L.A. to pursue an impressive career as a film and T.V. composer, while I stayed on in the Bay Area as full time working guitarist/studio musician/composer/teacher.

Frank is passionate about sharing the natural method of singing with students of all ages.

Frank received a Bachelor of Music in Voice performance from Indiana University, and is a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique (Posture Awareness in Action).

He has taught vocal music at Elementary, Intermediate, High School and College levels.

His students have won college scholarships and muscic awards.

Frank has performed leading roles in Broadway shows, Light Opera and Opera.

His experience as a vocal musical specialist in schools has helped to shape of method of instruction that is fun, easy and yields amazing results.

At age I 12 picked up a guitar and fell in love with the instrument. I began with an obsession with Metallica and related bands, which really inspired me to play along and learn that genre of music. That later evolved to a big interest in classical and jazz music as well as an interest in music theory. I believe the pitfall of a lot of musicians learning music theory “limits” you as a musician, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Whether you want to write, play in a band or just noodle around there’s a spot for you!

I have studied under Mark Simons of the San Francisco Guitar quartet from 2008 -2010 and completed the music program at Diablo Valley College in June of 2010, which includes extensive coursework in Music theory, Piano and Guitar and recently been accepted to Cal State East Bay where I will complete and receive a BA in music.

I am a soprano with a degree in vocal performance and I am looking to build a fun and supportive studio in the Bay Area! A little bit about myself first: I have been singing since I was six years old. I joined choir first and then started taking private lessons when I was thirteen. I knew that I wanted to be a singer from the time I was a kid and never looked back! When I was twenty, I moved to Orange County to study classical vocal performance at the University of California at Irvine. I learned a deep appreciation for the music we studied and developed into an effective and artistic communicator through the art of vocal performance. I love teaching because I honestly believe there is no greater feeling in the world than giving a performance that truly moves your audience, and helping others in this process is always extremely rewarding. I am a classically trained soprano with a special passion for folk songs. I also love to work with my vocal students on musical theater and pop styles.

I picked up my first guitar about 10 years ago and have been studying and playing ever since. Having a strong interest in composing and writing original music I gigged regularly (3-4 shows a month) performing original material in a rock band in the East Bay until I moved to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. At Berklee I received rigorous training in traditional and Jazz music theory, Music technology, and guitar performance. Currently residing in the East Bay, I continue to compose, perform, and teach guitar lessons to all ages.

I believe sincerely that part of the responsibility of being a professional musician is passing on the knowledge that you have acquired to the next generation of performers, and it also happens to be something I enjoy! Luckily so did my teachers, and I have always felt deeply indebted to them for teaching me. I have 15 years experience teaching and playing drums and latin percussion (congas, timbales, bongo) in the San Francisco Bay Area, and in my career as a performer I have played with everyone from Slash (rock), Donna Summer (RnB), to Jesus Diaz (salsa). I have studied classical and jazz percussion at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music and the esteemed Manhattan School of Music, as well as an extensive tutorial en Cuba, where I studied latin percussion at the national school of art. I have a BS in music education, I am a professional musician/ composer/ arranger.I received my teaching credentials at SFSU and have been a General music teacher as well as a, band teacher. I have studied trumpet with Classical and Jazz teachers and big band arranging with Frank Foster( saxophonist and arranger with Count Basie Band). At present I am retired and teaching privately.

I have been teaching music for over 30 years as well as being a professional musician. I enjoy teaching because it allows me pass on what my teachers taught me as well as what my experiences have been. I have found that teaching music builds confidence in students, not only in music but in other areas as well.

In every culture that we study, music is one way we learn a lot about how they lived. If we don’t pass this knowledge on we will be forgotten. Teaching to me is not only a pleasure but a duty I must perform for our survival.

After graduating California Institute of the Arts with a multi-focus on several aspects of music including African dance, Indonesian gamelan, songwriting, recording, classical voice and piano, folk guitar, and more, Liz had the excellent opportunity to teach theater to a local musical theater summer youth program. All summer, she taught class sizes ranging from 10 to 26 students of the ages 5-10. Her initiative later led to being hired at this local community theater. Along with this theater teaching experience, she has been teaching piano and voice lessons for over six years. Her students have gone from knowing nothing about music to learning and performing entire pieces on their own. Liz knows that it is her place in the world to teach music and would love nothing more than make learning music a positive and fun experience for everyone.
