I began my love for music at the age of 12 when I joined middle school band to play the saxophone. From then it was “love at first sight,” and I became completely immersed in the fascination of music. By age 18, I had participated in many Honor Bands across the country and furthered my studies in music earning both a Bachelor’s and Masters Degree from Morgan State University. I have performed in Classical, Jazz, and Modern Contemporary atmospheres in both Saxophone and Piano, as well as; teach elementary music in the Baltimore City Public School System. I have a very diverse background, and furthermore; I truly enjoy teaching music to students of all ages and abilities.

If you are a seasoned performer, I will guide you in developing agility, musicality, range, dynamics, and phrase shape. If you are a first-time vocal student, I will provide an engaging, supportive environment to find your voice.

My instruction is based on professionalism, experience and range from more than 25 years of singing and 10 years of teaching. I have advanced education in vocal performance and am an AmSAT certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, which allow me to integrate the intellectual and physical aspects of singing. I use my energy, attentiveness and creativity to tailor lessons towards each student's unique needs.
I base my vocal technique on the Italianate tradition of operatic "bel canto," but also incorporate broad experience in musical theater, jazz, and early to contemporary classical music.

Hi- my name is Dylan. I've been passionate about music and teaching my whole life. I even tried teaching my little sister violin when she was 7 and I was 9. But in actual lessons I have taught piano, organ, music theory, improvisation (and even harpsichord!) to private students. I am comfortable teaching a wide variety of musical styles and a wide range of experience in students, but have been most useful to motivated students interested in classical music and improvisation.

As a musician: I'm classically trained, with a Bachelor's degree in keyboard performance from McGill University and am currently studying for my Master's in the same thing at Boston University. I have won the Concours de Musique de Canada chamber music competition 2009 with Ensemble la Félicité, and have a special love for improvisation and classical music.

I grew up in a musical home and have been playing piano since the age of four. I have had all sorts of different music teachers in my life and I have always looked to them for inspiration for my own teaching--what would I do differently? What would I do the same?
In my opinion, a teacher is an extremely energetic, charged individual who is entirely focused on the progress of the student. A teacher is inspiring, motivating, and makes learning a fun and enjoyable experience. I strive for this level of excellence in each of my lessons. I have been working with students of all ages for the past six years as a private and group lesson instructor, bandleader and clinician. At a summer camp in New York I would regularly have kids from other sections sitting in on my classes because of the creative and exciting learning environment that I create.

As a graduate of Berklee College of Music I have experienced every genre and teaching method. As a result I can shape my curriculum to the student's personal interests and preferred learning style. During lessons I take a solid foundation of music theory and technical practice and place it in context to modern musical examples, allowing students to understand the material on their own terms. Kellan T. is a bassist/guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music. He grew up in Stow, Massachusetts and began playing music at age 12. In addition, he is also a producer, composer, engineer, and singer. He's studied with legends Matt Garrison, Lincoln Goines, and Oscar Stagnaro, and now plays all over the Boston area in many groups. He has taught lessons on multiple instruments for many years over many levels and age groups.

I've been playing the guitar for twenty-six years now, and I've been working as a guitar teacher for the last twenty years. I've been making a living as a guitar teacher in the Boston area for fourteen years now, and I teach in two locations - Brighton and Dedham. Prior to that I also taught at Guitar Attention Center in Springfield, Ohio while I was in college, where I graduated with honors at Wright State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications.
I've also played in a variety of original and cover bands, and have written a number of songs of my own. I'm working on recording these as instrumentals in my home studio.
I also play in a rock cover band called Element 78. We play out every weekend, and even on some Sundays. The singer and I have also started doing some acoustic shows on Sundays and Thursdays as well.
