I have a BA in Music Education, and I've been teaching for 13 years (voice, piano, guitar, violin) in classroom and one-on-one settings. I've been complimented on my ability to teach in a way that makes my students learn very quickly. I was classically trained and I excelled in the pop and alternative rock scene. I've toured with choirs throughout China, and the United States (including Carnegie Hall), and I also toured with rock bands in Spain, Mexico, Peru, and throughout the U.S.A. I currently am the lead singer (also playing guitar & piano) in the alternative rock band "Stripe Coats" (stripecoats.com). I have been a student of the drums myself for 17 years. I started like many musicians have, learning to play a musical instrument in the school orchestra. I picked up some drum sticks and haven't put them down since. My favorite styles of music are funk and rock. I have studied orchestral drumming, drumset, and music theory for 2 years at the university level. I love to teach and finding ways of making drumming easy to understand. I currently play with 2 bands and record whenever an opportunity arises.

Since graduating from the Percussion Institute of Technology (PIT) in 1989 I have given over 12,000 private lessons to students of all ages!! I have recorded several albums, toured around the globe and taught at drumming events across the country.

I teach all styles of contemporary drum set and marching snare drum.

In 2010, I was named "Educator of the Year" by the drumming web site "United Groove Workers".

I've been teaching students for over 20 years, playing all styles and levels of music, from day-one beginners to seasoned pros seeking to sharpen their playing skills. I earned a B.A. in Music Composition and an A.A. in music theory, and have worked as a professional musician since graduation. I fell in love with the guitar when I was ten years old, and it’s been one of the most satisfying, long-lasting and healthiest romantic relationships of my entire life. I am still in love.

When I began to play AND sing, the magic multiplied. Through performing solo and with bands, I discovered that other people also enjoyed the magic that was being channeled through me musically.

Then I found that I could teach. This was a surprise to me. I found that I am the kind of person who can explain concepts and demonstrate technique in a way that makes the new information fun for a student. My students enjoy learning, and I enjoy the fact that they are enjoying it. It is SO MUCH FUN for me to see a student’s face light up because something suddenly makes sense to them, and they GET IT. Music has been a part of my life since I was 5 years old, when my father would record my brother and I singing. I always loved singing and learned many of my favorite songs as a child.

I started playing the trumpet in the 4th grade, which has led me all the way to receiving my degrees in Trumpet Performance and Music Education! I was lucky enough to attend one of the nation's top music schools, The Peabody Institute, and I now work toward my Master's degree at California State University, Long Beach. I have enjoyed performing in everything from big-band-lead to principal trumpet in the orchestra, leading brass quintets and brass ensembles, and much more! The trumpet has been a huge passion for as long as I can remember now!

Restilito Bagaygay received his Bachelor’s of Music from California State University, Long Beach,
under the tutelage of Craig Richey. During this time, he was awarded the Daniel Cariaga scholarship
and the Certificate of Achievement in Keyboard Studies. Resli is the regional winner of the 2013
MTAC Concerto Competition, collegiate division, and will be representing Southern California at
the State Finals this summer. His activities include being a pianist for Holy Family Church and St.
Hedwig’s Church, piano instructor at Arts Development School of Music in Bellflower, teaching
privately, and collaborative endeavors within CSULB. For leisure, Resli enjoys driving, watching
movies, perusing music books, drinking milk tea, video games, and reading random articles. Currently, Resli

Laura believes that piano lessons are beneficial for everyone, not just the most highly talented; she strives to develop in her students a life-long love and appreciation of music, as well as the knowledge and tools to make music.

Laura began piano lessons at the age of five and went on to study organ, flute, guitar, voice, and harp. She holds Bachelor’s degrees in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s degree in History of Music from Yale University. She began teaching piano during college and has maintained a private music studio in Long Beach, California since 1994, teaching students from age four through 84. She has served as organist and pianist for several churches and holds the Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists. In addition, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and recently retired from the spacecraft industry.

Sarah was born and raised in Los Angeles and has been involved in music and theater since a young age. She spent many of her early years performing in both school and church choirs, and was heavily involved in both theater and dance throughout high school. Sarah has played roles such as "Mrs MacAfee " in Bye Bye Birdie, "Nancy" in Oliver, and "Golde" in Fiddler on the Roof, as well as doing "extra word" for Zondervan, and Billy Gram films. She holds a B.A. in Voice from Biola University, and is currently working on a M.A. in Christian Education. While at Biola, Sarah performed with the Biola University Chorale for 5 years performing such works as, Mozart requiem, and Carmina Baurana. She has training in both classical and musical theater voice, and has been working with children and teens for the past 10 years.

Hey hows it going ? My name is Greg but many call me simply "g" -- I have 30+ years playing guitar and 10+ years coaching & teaching beginner skill levels. If you are advance level , or close to advance, then you need to think about Musicians Institute level faculty to progress... as I do best with beginner skill levels. I focus on blues and rock content, because that's what I enjoy and that's what my band plays. Acoustic or electric guitar are fine, and when you come to my studio in Bixby Knolls section of Long Beach, you will see I offer plenty of room and great environment to relax and learn. If you do not have a guitar, I can provide for lessons.
