I am comfortable with all ukulele voices/tuning (soprano, tenor, baritone) and typically tailor uke lessons towards each individual student's goals. I have been playing music since I was about 13 years old. I initially started out on guitar but I quickly picked up mandolin, banjo, and ukulele thanks to the great theoretical tools I'd learned from my first teacher! I started studying alto saxophone around the same time I picked up guitar and began extensively studying violin a few years later.
I quickly began writing songs and at 15, I recorded my first album of original material with production help from Grammy award winning producer/guitarist Joe Reyes. Joe and I would go on to make four other records together and I would wind up doing string arrangements for one of his albums as well.
While still in high school, I began playing with a number of bands in my hometown of San Antonio, Texas as well as a few groups in ...
I am a singer/songwriter, theatre artist, and teacher that has been singing, playing, and writing music since the age of five. Originally from Cooper City, Florida, I received my BFA from Boston University, where I studied Music and Theatre Arts. After learning how to create my own music at around the age of eight, I have recorded over a dozen albums with many bands and musicians and currently am playing shows as a singer/songwriter in the Austin area.
I have experience with the following musical styles: Musical Theater, Folk, Rock, Pop, Classical, ...

With a B.A. in music, 5 years of combined DCI and WGI experience, and a passion for singer/songwriting and garage band-dom, I offer a skill set and perspective that hinges between the worlds of academic and popular music. Whether you're looking to 1) enter the world of percussion, guitar, or ukulele, 2) seek beginner or advanced music theory insight, 3) break into or develop in singer songwriting, or 4) fine tune your rudimental or world percussion technique at an advanced level, I'm sure that my experience as a teacher and a performer will be a great fit for you.
