Bass Guitar, Guitar, Cello, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Tuba, Upright Bass
I first became interested in music at a young age and have never lost sight of my passion for music. From choir in middle school to band in high school, I have had some of my favorite memories in music. I continued my education by attending Reinhardt University as an education major, with an emphasis on tuba and trombone. This gave me more experiences and knowledge about music than I could have ever dreamt and I look forward to every time I get to share that knowledge. During my time at Reinhardt I have performed with the Reinhardt University Symphonic Winds, Reinhardt Orchestra, Reinhardt brass quintets and low brass choir, and the Reinhardt Jazz Ensemble. During my junior year at Reinhardt I competed and won the concerto competition, which allowed me to perform as soloist with the orchestra on the spring concert. My other performing experiences have come from recitals at Reinhardt and various gigs around the Canton, Marietta, Cobb, Atlanta, and Jasper areas.
I have also had the opportunity to work several marching bands during the marching camps and as a brass tech during their fall seasons. I have also worked with large groups, small groups, and individuals ranging from beginners to advanced players.
Currently I am completing my student teaching, which further allows me to refine my skills and delivery methods for teaching, as well as develop new ways of teaching. I am truly enjoying where music is taking me and wouldn't want to be doing anything else. The best thing about the profession I have chosen in my opinion, is that I can pass on a skill to other people that they can have and use for the rest of their life.

Guitar, Piano, Singing, Violin, Cello, Flute, Music Theory, Opera Voice
I have been first trained as a professional opera singer as a child in Korea. For many years, I have performed on stage. When I came to America, I have continued to pursue education in voice (and piano) at Troy University and at Baptist College of Florida while seeking other degrees.
In addition to my main focus on vocal training, I am professionally trained to play instruments such as piano, guitar, flute, and violin. I have learned to play piano and guitar to initially accompany my own singing, but I have continued to study these instruments to this day. I have been a main church pianist, wedding pianist, collaboration pianist, and etc. For flute and violin, I have been a member of ensemble groups and orchestra (and symphonic band) and performed on various occasions.
These training has allowed me to start a music academy in Korea from 1990-1996. There, I have taught all the instruments I have learned: piano, violin, cello, flute, guitar, and voice. It started small, but it grew rapidly and before I came to US in 1996, I had over 250 students. I had hired 6 more teachers, one for each division. My students came as beginners and would leave as educated musicians, who entered competitions, performed in public events and at concerts, and sought degrees in music.
In US, I had a small music studio for many years in Alabama. My students have entered AMTA competitions for state of Alabama, sonata competitions, and many others. Some have won, and others have lost. Those who won smiled and those who lost cried, but all returned with good experiences.
Now in Georgia, I am starting to teach again. I hope to offer my new students same amount of care and education borne out of experience that I have provided for many, many years.
