As a younger brother at the age of five, I began studying the piano because my older sister did. After my foundation in music strengthened I fell in love with the trumpet. At first, each note took time to develop and I enjoyed the challenge. The trumpet allowed me to travel all over the Southeast later in life and even to China with a 1940's Radio Show. I enjoyed many top-level bands the kindled my love and passion for good music. I want to share that kindling with my students in a nurturing and guiding situation, just like my teachers gave me.
I used to go to lessons and become so motivated and inspired that I thought I could change the world. I always knew that I would want to give back exactly that. My life revolves around music in all of its forms. I have studied Piano since the age of 6 while singing ever since I knew how to make sound. Throughout my lifetime, I have been taught by some of the most influential teachers, and it is my goal to become one in your lifetime.

I began participating in theater at an early age. Once In high school, I had my first job as a Drama Teacher at Saltworks Young Actors Studio where I taught Improvisation, Monologues and Musical Theater to students ages 6 thru 16.

I went to Point Park University where I received a BA in Musical Theater in 2006. Throughout College, I was also teaching voice and piano lessons.

As an actor, I have enjoyed many successes. In 2007, I joined the NY Public Theater’s three night, 40th anniversary concert of HAIR at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. I received my Bachelor of Music degree from New York University, and I am working on my Master of Music degree at Manhattan School of Music.

I have performed at many well-known venues including The Blue Note, The Jazz Gallery, The Bitter End, Sullivan Hall, The Garage, Caffe Vivaldi, Miles Cafe, and The Local 269 in New York City; Twins Jazz Club in Washington DC; Trumpets Jazz Club in Montclair NJ; and Chris' Jazz Cafe in Philadelphia.

I have studied music since I was seven years old, and I have a real passion for sharing music with others. I am a double major in music performance and music education. I teach at Brooklyn College as well as my home studio. Professionally, I have premiered dozens of new works for brass, and I am active on the New York New Music scene. I use my real world experience to hone in on what you need to accomplish your musical goals. I have spent substantial time in New York City Public School music classrooms assisting and teaching with fellow instructors, and my private students have gained awards and admission to regional and state honor groups.

Hello! I am a professional music educator in the Philadelphia, PA area. I graduated magna cum laude from Mansfield University, with a bachelor's degree in Music Education and hold a master's degree in Flute Performance from the University of Connecticut. I have taught all ages of students, from pre-K to adult, a wide variety of instruments. I am a member of MENC (The National Association for Music Education) and Sigma Alpha Iota (Professional International Music Fraternity for Women). In addition to music, I love animals. Currently we have 2 cats, a turtle, and a red iguana that all put up with my practicing and lessons quite well (or they just hide under the bed).
