I started playing drums in my parents' basement when I was 9 years old. It was just me, a stereo, and a bunch of cardboard boxes I made into my first drumset. Every day, I listened to to my favorite songs over and over again to figure out how to play them. To me, there was nothing more awesome in the world than music.

Since then my musical journey has taken me far and wide. I've studied percussion and composition with world class teachers, toured Europe, composed music for commercials, co-written award winning songs, and performed with a variety of artists at such venues as the Hard Rock Cafe, BB King's, World Cafe, 55 Bar, The Living Room, The Bitter End, and many others. And the one thing that hasn't changed? I'm still totally in awe of it all.

Zach is a New York based composer, performer and educator. Beginning with piano at age four and later picking up bass guitar, he has worked in a wide variety of musical styles and genres. Zach holds Undergraduate and Master's degrees in classical composition from Manhattan School of Music, where he studied with Richard Danielpour and Nils Vigeland. With works ranging from screen to stage to concert hall, Zach's music has been heard throughout the New York area, from Lincoln Center to indie movie houses.

As a keyboardist and bass player, he has performed and toured with local, regional and national acts, specializing in funk, dance and rock.

Zach has over ten years of teaching experience in composition, music theory, piano and bass guitar, with students of all ages and experience levels.

I have a Bachlor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Westminster College of the Arts (Westminster Choir College) from which I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2007. While in school I studied the classical "bel canto" technique (literally meaning "beautiful singing"), and was able to learn from some of the best teachers, coaches, and conductors in the world! Born in New York City and always surrounded by different music, Michael began studying at a very early age with the piano. Later on, he got serious with the upright and electric bass and got his degree from SUNY Purchase in jazz performance. At SUNY Purchase, Michael studied with some of the best teachers in New York such as Hal Galper, Todd Coolman, and Kermit Driscoll. He has a lot of experience as a performer in New York City as both a leader and a sideman in many different styles of music. His formal background is jazz but he can be seen regularly performing with pop, rock, hip hop, funk, and soul groups.

Wisconsin cultured in 1983, I was born to a family of teachers and artists. In 1989, I started the Suzuki piano method, which I continued until 2001. As well, I sang high tenor in a barbershop choir, played organ and piano at my Catholic church and was interested in stage acting and musical theatre. But In 1996, my obsession with woodwinds was sparked by discovering my dad's alto saxophone. In 2001, I graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy in jazz saxophone and piano performance. I then went on to graduate Western Michigan University(BM,‘05) and the New England Conservatory(MM,‘08) for degrees in Jazz Studies.

I currently live in Astoria, NY (Queens), and have a conveniently located studio space available for lessons. Jerome has been playing percussion for almost 40 years.
His 20 years experience as a music teacher combined with his involvement in many different playing situations makes him an expert in the field of latin percussion.

Growing up, Jerome obtained a gold medal at the conclusion of the Final examination of classical percussion in the French Republic City of Metz and a first interregional award of excellence in Chamber Music at the Conservatory of Music of the City of Luxembourg.
His love to latin percussion, brought him various times to Cuba where he deepened his knowledge of Afro-Cuban music.

As a younger brother at the age of five, I began studying the piano because my older sister did. After my foundation in music strengthened I fell in love with the trumpet. At first, each note took time to develop and I enjoyed the challenge. The trumpet allowed me to travel all over the Southeast later in life and even to China with a 1940's Radio Show. I enjoyed many top-level bands the kindled my love and passion for good music. I want to share that kindling with my students in a nurturing and guiding situation, just like my teachers gave me.

Nicole B., born in Savannah, Georgia, began taking piano lessons at the age of five. For high school, she was accepted into Savannah Arts Academy, a magnet school for the arts. During her time at this school, she participated in several competitions, attaining Governor's Honors Program alternate her junior year, 2nd place in duets and honorable mention in solos for the Georgia Music Educators Association competition her senior year, and All-State Jazz finalist her senior year. Also, she participated in the Savannah Arts Academy's Skyelite Jazz band, which has toured the nation and the world. She has recently graduated from Georgia State University, completing her B.M. in piano performance. Nathan Q. holds a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific. Nathan's primary teachers include Jennie Blomster and Ron Wold with additional masterclasses and lessons under Phil Myers (NY Phil), Bob Ward (SF Symphony) and Gus Sebring (Boston Symphony).

After studying Classical and Jazz music back in Moscow, Russia, Tatiana was awarded a full scholarship to study Jazz at the University of Miami at the age of 16.
While in school she discovered a passion for writing music and started working on her first album. Since then Tatiana has released three albums, toured in the US, and performed all around NYC. Tatiana has been teaching music for over 8 years. She is very versatile as a result of her academic background and real world experience. Tatiana is also well acquainted with the vocal health techniques, and always teaches the importance of maintaining a healthy instrument to all of her students.

I began playing piano when I was 8 years old. When I stopped taking lessons, I taught myself. I started singing around the same time and have never stopped.
