About Me
Bachelor's in philosophy and music (with 'high distinction') from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Master's in philosophy and classics from St. John's College, Annapolis
Aspen Music Festival and School, 1999
Pianist for the U.S. Army, 2003-present.
I have worked as a professional musician my whole life; and have been a teacher and coach for countless musicians throughout the years. I find great satisfaction and pride in helping any student who comes to me find their musical side or inside, and to begin the work of mastering the beautiful and demanding craft of piano playing. Playing the piano is a life-long pursuit with many great rewards; it requires patience, discipline, a positive attitude, and expert guidance (this last is my unique contribution to the mix). I can teach classical, jazz, and many other styles.
