I began my music education in 1993 with private piano lessons. A year later, I joined the instrumental program in my community playing the clarinet and by 8th grade I had fully realized my passion for music and have been playing and singing ever since! In 2002 I was accepted to the prestigious Berklee College of Music for classical piano which culminated into a Bachelors degree in Music Education. My professional career started when I accepted a position to provide private music lessons to home schooled children all across CT. My music studio has been serving music students in the Sarasota area since 1991. I offer private voice, piano and music theory lessons for students of all ages. Currently my studio includes students from 5 to 74 years of age! And in my 30 years of teaching all of my students have shown improvement in skills and enjoyment.

I myself began singing in church when I was three years old and began piano lessons at age five. I began teaching piano lessons when I was sixteen.

Music and teaching are my passions. Both of my parents were teachers. Beginning in my middle school years, my parents invited me to their classrooms to teach music lessons. When I was in high school sometimes the choir director would ask me to lead rehearsals and I did the same in college.

My experience has brought me literally hundreds of students. I sometimes think I have seen and heard it all! Some who come for singing lessons...

I have been playing music since I was 9 years old. I studied piano with Robin Kaplan, Mark Evans, Lee Shaw, and Dr. Gary Bush. In 2004 I completed a Bachelors of Arts degree in Music Composition and Production from the Purchase Conservatory at Purchase College in West Chester, NY. Recently I completed a very successful tour as pianist for the United States Marine Corps Band, based in Cherry Point, NC. My performance experience includes jazz, R&B, reggae, classical, rock, funk, country, and DCI style marching band. I am very inspired by the vast world of music and I encourage my students to explore many genres of music in their studies.

I'm Rick and I have been playing guitar for a couple of decades. I specialize in all acoustic styles, including artists like James Taylor, Paul Simon and other "folk rockers". Whether you just want to play some of your favorites, or learn to accompany yourself as you sing, I'm your guy. Strumming, finger-picking and just enough music theory to get you to understand what you're playing...and grow!

Bachelor of Music, Oberlin Conservatory of Music, major in Piano Performance. Taught basic musicianship course as well as private piano lessons at the Conservatory while still a student there. Performed in Florida West Coast Symphony on Double Bass. Double Bass & solfege study with 30-yr. member of Boston Symphony, Gaston Dufresne. Nicole began her musical journey in Long Island, New York when she began piano lessons at age five. While receiving training on piano, she joined her elementary school orchestra in the 3rd grade and quickly soared with violin. During this period, Nicole began learning music theory and the art of reading music. As a fourth grader, Nicole would go on to conduct and tune every instrument in her orchestra during rehearsal. She always competed and won many NYSMA competitions for violin while attending music seminars and workshops. It was then that her teacher realized she had a gift. Nicole continued with piano lessons and began teaching herself guitar. Later, after college, she bought herself a drum set and began to teach herself drums.

I've been teaching professionally for over ten years and have taught over 200 students of all ages and backgrounds how to play. I've played mostly in rock bands but have also done Classical, Jazz, and Country projects. I play a wide selection of styles including Rock, Pop, Country, Ragtime, Folk, Blues, Bluegrass, Metal, Church, Renaissance, Punk, and Funk/Soul. (Everything from Bach to Rock to Bachrach). I graduated from the University of Maryland.

I have been involved in music since I was a young child. I have a passion for teaching and serving others through the gift of music. I am currently attending Clearwater Christian College finishing a degree with a double proficiency in Piano Performance and Composition. I have completed secondaries in voice and brass techniques. I teach students from beginners to advanced.

I grew up in a musical family, with various instruments being learned. I believe music is a universal thread that not only connects every human being but brings so much life and joy into one's heart. I started taking piano lessons at age 9 and continued for 10 years challenging myself to work my way up from Level 1 to 10. I specialized in classical piano growing up, but have branched out to other styles as I've gotten older.

I began teaching when I was 18 years old and fell in love with the opportunity to pass on the gift of learning music to others. I am fun and laid back, but also have a passion for good technique and proper note reading.

I began studying the guitar and music theory at age 9 and started playing professionally by the age of fifteen. While obtaining my mechanical engineering degree I minored in classical guitar performance at Eastern Michigan University and later continued my music studies at the Center for Creative Studies and Mary Grove College in Detroit Michigan.

For the past 25 years I have been teaching guitar and bass in styles ranging from classical and jazz to rock and country. I currently perform professionally as a soloist and with two jazz ensembles locally and nationally. My experience as teacher and performer has given me the opportunity to provide a well rounded education and musical experience for my students.
