I tried taking lessons using RockSmith 2014 then decided to try a few in home lessons to compare and troubleshoot issues I was having. I found the benefits of lessons with an interactive instructor far outweighed trying to teach myself through other methods. Gordie is professional, makes lessons fun, interesting and when problems arise he changes his method of teaching, becoming a better teacher rather than expecting you to become a better student.

Fantastic Online Lessons!!!

Online lessons are so easy and productive. Long day at work? bad traffic? snowstorm?...none of that effects your online lessons. Moreover, Gordie has an endless library of songs to teach and you just can't stump him! He's patient and practical and does a tremendous job!

Ryan is so great with my 6 yr old son. He is very patient with him, and even though we are having our son learn piano for now, his ultimate goal is to learn the guitar. With Ryan knowing this about our son, he also allows him to strum the guitar every so often so that it reminds him how his piano lessons will ultimately pay off in the end. Ryan is super great with kids! I highly recommend him to anyone.

Ryan is an amazing Piano teacher! My son is 7 and requires a lot of patience and redirection, and Ryan is very good at keeping him on track. We had to switch teachers after the previous one was not a good fit for my son's strong personality. I highly recommend Ryan if your child is easily distracted and strong willed. :)

Recommendation for Lisa

Lisa is an excellent teacher and musician. She's perfect for an old guy like me in his 60's that has had no lessons in decades! She is supportive and encouraging, yet critical and instructive when needed. She loves her work and it shows through her sweet spirit. I'm lucky to have found her.

Nothing can beat seeing an experienced person playing the guitar, except being able to ask that person questions and get answers. One on one private lessons are what I offer in a comfortable, relaxed environment. I can show you exactly how to make all the moves for playing correctly. This makes progress exponentially faster. We also get into theory, which is WHY you are playing the notes you play in songs. You want lead guitar? You've got it here. I teach all styles, old and new.

About Michael

My name is Mike E. I am a resident of Lake Highlands. I played by ear for eleven years before starting training on music and how to teach by Mr. Terrill Gardner. Terrill took me through music from the Rolling Stones all the way through "Modern Method for Guitar" books I, II, and III from Berklee College in Boston. He was my mentor and taught me a method that he spent thirty years perfecting. It works, guaranteed. He also taught me on bass guitar and banjo. I can help you.

Lessons are customized to meet the needs of the individual, with the primary focus on playing songs as soon as possible. I am talking about playing along with the pros, not reading notes for months and playing "Mary Had a Little Lamb." I have combined my "by ear" knowledge with ...

Mike is great, he simplifies a complex music reading into plain simple English. Within a few lessons, Mike had me playing all the major chords and using them to play songs. I look forward to being able to play more complex songs with Mike.

Mike amazed me!

On a free introductory meeting with Mike, he taught me every major chord on the piano in ONE SENTENCE! Then he taught me every minor chord in ONE MORE SENTENCE. His personality and demeanor matched his knowledge. Most of all, he made it all fun.

I've been teaching guitar for a couple years now. I started with some of my friends and now it is a passion. I'm a strong believer in patience, and believe no one is unteachable.

About Zachary

Hello, I'm Zach and I am currently going to college for Audio Engineering. I have been playing guitar and bass guitar for 7 years. I have been in 3 bands, and have played multiple large shows. I currently work for a production company, doing lights and sound and have more recently gotten to set up at The Shrine Auditorium and the At@t center. I can complete the rubix cube in 15 seconds. I am good with kids and adults and believe patience is a major key to teaching any skill set.

Having an Awesome time taking lessons with Zach

I got solicited into making this review after our most recent lesson. I would be lying though if I said I hadn't enjoyed the lessons we have been taking. I know I can be rather impatient during our lessons, I like to try and play ahead, but Zach is good at reeling me back in and keeping me focused on the task at hand. He's really friendly and outgoing and I'm glad he's my teacher!

Great teacher!

Zachary has been a great teacher thus far! I started off with no knowledge of guitar and in two months I'm already feeling comfortable enough to show off my new skills to my friends and family. He is very friendly and patient, and moves along at whatever pace is right for you. The homework he gives to work on between sessions is really helpful, so I don't feel lost when I'm on my own. I will definitely recommend him to everyone!

I have been playing the guitar for 23+ years, I am 30 years old now. I have been a professional musician for over 20 years and have about 6 years of teaching experience. I took formal music lessons for over 5 years in school, but almost everything I have learned was by ear. I am self taught but I know basic music theory.
My method varies, depending on the students desire. I am very patient and detail oriented. I am trying to make the lesson interesting and fun as much as possible.

About Tommy

Learn to play from an experienced guitar player, Tommy Katona, front man of Texas Flood (a tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan). Over 23 years of musical experience.

If you want to learn the style of Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Albert King, Eric Clapton, or just want to learn to play the guitar, basic chords and scales, easy songs you should contact me.

I am a Blues musician since I was a child, but I like all kinds of music and am familiar with other genres like funk, jazz, rock, even some metal.

Reading music is not necessary, but learning basic theory is included. All ages are welcome, from beginners to advanced players. I am very good with children as well, very patient with my students, and trying to make every minute of my lessons interesting and fun.
