I holds a BA in music performance, have over 25 years of professional music experience and am dedicated to providing a quality, comprehensive learner-based music education.

- Professional experience in Pensacola, Atlanta, and Dallas as a teacher, side man, band leader, orchestra member for multiple theatrical/musical productions, recording session musician, music copyist, and sound man.

I teach my students how to understand how music is put together so they can learn even more on their own.

I read, write, and play all styles and I focus on teaching the student fundamentals that work in all styles of music ....AND I get them going on the style they are interested in - pop, rock, country, folk, etc.

I have spent my entire life in the music industry and I can show you how to use what I teach to apply to the real world. I have also been a successful songwriter and I can work with students to learn about song structure and song writing.

I am also good at preparing students for college music classes.

Born in Arlington, Texas, I began playing guitar and bass guitar in high school. After studying for several years under Joey Faust, I studied Jazz, Classical Guitar, and Music Theory at TCC in Fort Worth. I've been teaching since 2003, my students ranging in age from 3 to over 70. I also play piano, mandolin, banjo, and ukulele.
