I have a graduate degree and a performer's certificate in classical guitar performance from Eastman School of Music. I have studied with many world renowned musicians including Paul O'Dette and members of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet. As a graduate student I taught classical guitar to undergraduate jazz guitar majors at Eastman, and to undergraduate music majors at the University of Rochester. I also taught Eastman's graduate level guitar history and literature class in addition to maintaining a private teaching studio where I have gained experience teaching students of all ages.

With multinational roots, Cuban born and raised ,educated in elite musical schools in a thorough classical tradition , Caribbean and Latin rhythms , American, Cuban, European and Jamaican influenced, Ben A. is a fabulous resource for music mentoring in the Buffalo area in NY state. A major in classical guitar, with an array of other subjects like Piano, Solfegio, Theory, Counterpoint, Harmony, Composition, Orchestration ,Group and solo singing . Ben A. has tutored students from beginner level to University music majors. Because of my international roots (I am a speaker of Spanish) I can accommodate different personalities and specific needs of students by not subscribing to a rigid method but working instead from the particular needs and interests of students into the desired goal for acomplishment and satisfaction. With my approach the student not only gets knowlege and skills but most importantly: Inspiration.
