As a parent and teacher, I’d like to educate the value of music in our children's lives. I see the music as a vital element, not only for their background, but also as an inspiration in their lives.
For beginners, I’d like to start with Suzuki books, but supplemented with scales and etudes.
For intermediate and advanced students, I use a vast array of European, Russian literature that covers the 5 main areas of development: scales, etudes, solo repertoire, and orchestra literature and music theory.
Understanding how to read music and sight-read is very important and I stress this highly in lessons. I emphasize all aspects of right and left hand technique, posture, music reading, the ability to learn melodies by ear, and both classical and non-classical styles. I seek to foster in the student a strong musical awareness and appreciation, in an environment that empowers the student to discover his or her individual creative expression. Though not everyone will be a soloist, I believe that it is possible for every student to find their musical voice when a willingness to learn is combined with a teaching method that focuses on each individual student’s learning style. I treat every student as an individual, with dignity, and respect. Every student’s performance will be recorded every 3 months.
According to his level of expertise the student will learn:
Classic music, church, working toward a SUZUKI certificate.
music, VIOLIN-VIOLA
