Jameson F. Trumpet, musicality Wallingford, CT

Jameson has been playing trumpet for longer then he can remember and the instrument has his heart as a home. Under the tutelage of James Ackley and Charles Schlueter, Jameson has learned to be patient with his students while optimizing their growth. He brings youthful vitality to the study of music that students are sure to enjoy. As a perennial student of music and the arts himself, Jameson searches for fresh views of music. He looks to pass these views onto his own students. Jameson sincerely hopes to spread this love of trumpet and music to all of his students.

Studying at the University of Connecticut, Jameson was faced with many diverse challenges not often found in the conservatory model. These challenges make him a flexible teacher, willing to bend his own methods to best fit his students’ needs.

People who come to my studio can expect a laid back atmosphere and should always be ready for a surprise. No two lessons are alike as no two students are alike. Everyone is different, and Jameson prides himself with his ability to adapt and overcome. He likes to focus on a 30/30 approach to lessons. 30 minutes of "assigned" materials (etudes, solos, exercises) and 30 minutes of "spontaneous" materials (duets, sight-reading, orchestral and solo listening, tuning exercises).

Jameson teaches mainly classical, but is willing to teach jazz and latin styles as well.
