David is a professional performer and teacher who has lived in the San Diego area for 10 years and has been performing for over 17 years.  David has been teaching singing and acting on and off for over 4 years.  David started singing at the age of 5 and has never looked back.  Singing in church was the beginning.  David now has a B.A. degree in Musical Theatre Performance with an emphasis in voice from the University of Northern Colorado.  David was on the National Tour of Forever Plaid and has done a countless number of other shows around the country and in and around Southern California.  David was a back up singer for Barbra Streisand and The Carpenter Family.  David has worked along side with such names as Marvin Hamlisch, Cherry Jones, Swoozie Kurtz, and Jack O'Brien.  David has a background in musical theatre, pop, rock, opera, classical, and jazz. 

David loves teaching because he is able to share what he knows. David also loves teaching because he can help those who are willing to learn and improve in something that means so much to him in his daily life.  David teaches all ages, and will work with each individual to accomplish their goals and what they want out of each lesson.  David will also talk with each individual prior to the first lesson to make sure they have the right fit so neither student or teacher is wasting their time and money.  If you work with David you will not be dissapointed.  If you love music and acting as much as David, you will reach your goals in no time.  It does take hard work from each individual but we will also have fun first and foremost.

David is someone who was deathly afraid to be in front of people and now he does it for a living.   David applies the styles from his voice teachers and his performing experience because that is what has helped him reach his goals and he will show you how to do it as well.

David still to this day takes voice and acting lessons himself because you are never to old to improve and learn something new.  Education is the key. 

In voice, I specialize in stage singing and also acting the song. I have skills in legit, pop, jazz, belt, etc.
