Hi everyone.  My name is Linda.  I come from New York and have been living in South Florida for a year and a half. I am an accomplished musician and piano teacher and have been teaching piano for many years.  I also teach violin for beginners.  I started studying the piano at age seven, graduated from the High School of Music and Art, and the Juilliard School of Music in New York City.  I teach students of all ages both classical and popular music.  I believe every student has their own individual personality and style and I encourage each student to apply it to their music and I am very patient and understanding with my students.  I am always willing to help the student with any problems they might have, so that they can improve their musical ability and understanding of the piano.  I have always had a good relationship with all my students.

What the student can expect at the lessons is a relaxed and pleasant experience, while maintaining a professional atmosphere. I don't use any unusual or special methods of teaching, just the basic materials and steps of learning the musical instrument.  I teach the student to become familiar with all the notes on the piano keyboard, how to read music,   how to write music, and general music theory, including musical phrasing and technique.  Playing the piano well involves not only playing the notes, but how you express yourself in your musical technique.  I am a laid back kind of person and definitely not strict or demanding with my students.  But I do believe the student should respect the teacher and listen carefully to the teacher so that they can apply what they learn and improve their performance.

I don't use any special methods or styles. Just teach basic knowledge of keyboard notes, rhythm, notation, phrasing, writing music and piano technique. Also provide various exercises to improve technique.
