"Loved her!. I can't wait to go back in and take another lesson from Brenda. She is funny,..."Brenda is a native Texan now living in Frisco, Texas. She has performed in Austria, France, and the Czech Republic as well as still performing in her home state. After graduating from The University of Texas with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance, she lived and studied in Paris. Brenda is the Director of Children’s Choirs at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Plano. Brenda prepares students for whatever path they are interested in pursuing, whether that be professional or college auditions, local theatre, or to sing better in the car. Singing is a natural ability and most of the time the hardest part is learning to get out of your own way and let the music happen.
A student can expect a voice lesson that concentrates on solid vocal technique - breathe control, full-bodied singing, focused and pure vowels, vocal depth and resonance. We will work on a wide variety of music and experience the whole range of your vocal capabilities. The student is a partner in the process and I expect lots of feedback and input into where your lessons are taking you. We can also work on theory and sight-reading, presentation and audition techniques if requested.
I teach classical voice technique but will also teach Broadway or pop styles in addition.
