My name Russ and I am currently pursuing a second degree in Music Performance at the University of Central Florida. Music started at the age of 12 with the flute and has finally settled with the Classical guitar under the direction of Dr Eladio Scharron for the past 3 years.  I have been teaching private guitar lessons at my home studio over the past year.  Although I don’t have many years of teaching experience, I have had the chance to acquire a wealth of knowledge through my years involved with music.  I have traveled abroad to study music and attend the Festival de Arcs in Bourg St Maurice, France.  I have also attended numerous master classes given by renowned guitarists such as Remi Bucher, Denis Azabagic, and Anna Vidovic.  I feel my unique experiences have helped shape me as a performance musician and as an effective teacher.

I am a relaxed teacher that will strive to consistently asses the needs of each individual student.  I tend to strictly enforce basics for beginners and especially sight reading.  I generally focus on technique, scales, simple chord progressions, some repertoire and practice habits in the first 3-6 months.
