My name is Sean and I've been teaching music for 6 years.  I have a degree in Music Education, with emphasis in vocal music, and a background in brass instruments.  I have taught trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, and french horn.  I also teach woodwind instruments as well such as clarinet, oboe, and saxophone.  I teach flute, but I'm not as comfortable with flute as I am with the other instruments.  I have a personal collection of instruments including autoharp, 6 guitars, piano, didgeridoo, and native flute, harmonica, electric bass, and xylophone.  I love music and I love teaching.  If you choose me as a teacher, you will not only get quality instruction on your instrument but you will receive a vast knowledge of music in general.  

If there is one thing I have learned from teaching it is that every student learns differently.  Some students, for example, those who show a natural ability need more attention to detail, while the one who has never played or sung before will require a looser more inquisitive approach.  Both students however can spend the same amount of time to reach their goals.  All students have to practice between lessons.  The majority of learning is done through an individual's personal investment in the instrument or song.  I am a relaxed teacher but my practice schedules are important to me, and in turn should important to the student as well.
