My musical experience started at the age of seven with piano lessons. This lead into studying the organ at 12 years of age at Philadelphia Musical Academy. I was a music major in high school, providing organ music for school functions and playing the violin in the orchestra. I continued my musical education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree.

I have done some post graduate studies at West Chester University and Westminster Choir College. My major instruments continue to be piano and organ. My musical career includes teaching in the public school system and community college, private students, musical director at various churches and providing music for social events. With over 25 years of teaching experience, I have taught people of all ages and all levels of ability.

My goal is to introduce the language of music to my students in such a way that it will enhance their life and prepare them for any options they wish in music. My approach to music is that every student learns differently and I will adapt my teaching tools to their individual needs. Besides teaching many musical styles I incorporate music theory, improvisation and ear training into the lessons. This not only helps the students creativity but also completes their musical education.

All this being said, my lessons are fresh, creative and fun for students of all ages. My students perform in two recitals a year which allows them to listen to what their fellow students are studying and gives them the experience of preparing for a performance.
