About Me

I work with Singers and Actors, and Dancers at every level. I coach professionals for auditions, I teach beginners, Professionals, and everyone in between. I work very well with dancers, actors and models who need to choose songs and who want to feel confident in their auditions.

I am a very patient person. I am on the staff at BROOKLYN COLLEGE where I have a PRIVATE VOICE STUDIO and TEACH ACTING. I DO NOT LIVE IN BROOKLYN. I GIVE PRIVATE LESSONS IN MY HOME IN LIC. Some people come to me for voice lessons and some people come for coaching for auditions. I have a great knowledge of the musical theatre repertoire, and have a large library of music here in my home. I have cast many actors/singers myself in NYC for different projects, so I also understand what an audition looks like from the perspective of the person who is auditioning you. Unlike Many other voice teachers, I am a very good pianist. I am also an acting teaching and can help you stage your audition. I treat song not only as a musical piece, but as an acting piece. You cannot separate the two. I am a proud ELECTED member of the New York State Singing Teachers Association. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you are a high school senior who has college auditions, let me help guide you through the process of auditioning for a college program in Musical Theatre! I understand that Auditioning can be a very stressful time, for both students and parents. Musical Theatre programs throughout the country are becoming more and more competitive each year. You must be prepared. I have been training students, and preparing them for this process for many years. I am currently in the New York City Area, and have had great success working with students to make sure they are at their best on the day of their audition. The more prepared you are, the more comfortable you will be. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My studio/home is in LIC, Queens. If you are unfamiliar with NYC or LIC... it is NOT on Long Island. LIC is five minutes from Midtown Manhattan. If you are coming from Manhattan, It is the FIRST stop from Lexington Ave on the E/V train. The stop is 23rd and Ely. My Apt. is one short block from the subway. It will take five minutes from Lexington Ave. The 7 train is also one block away. It is a beautiful block. It is right near the Citibank Bldg. which is the largest building in Queens. It is very easy to get to from any area. There is usually parking available on the street. The location on the map listed with this post is not accurate.

Lesson Details

I have more than 20 years experience as a voice teacher and vocal coach. I am currently teaching at Brooklyn College. I teach musical theatre classes and have a private voice studio at the college. In my voice studio there are adults and young adults. I have also taught in many different performing arts schools in the NYC area. I am currently teaching out of my home studio which is not in Brooklyn, but centrally located to Midtown. I offer a free consultation for each potentially serious student. This consultation will give us a chance to meet, I will hear you sing, and I can assess how I think I can best help you achieve your goals It will also give you a chance to ask any questions. You have nothing to lose by taking advantage of this. There is no obligation after the initial consultation. It is available to every serious potential student.
