About Me

Music became my life when I found a dusty guitar in the storage room at age 12. I owe a lot of really cool experiences to the guitar and so many of them center around learning. Teaching is fun and rewarding, but it is also my way of thanking the great teachers I'’ve had.

-Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory/Composition at Metropolitan State College of Denver

-Won a scholarship to the 2001 Summer Guitar Program at Berklee College of Music in Boston

-Frequent substitute at Arapahoe Community College (music theory and guitar lessons)

Lesson Details

The most important benefit of taking lessons from me is my youth. Too many teachers out there forget that ROCK DIDN'T DIE in the 60's. While the music from that time period deserves the recognition it receives, there's also amazing music being made today. Being in touch with fresh styles and techniques allows us to grow as MUSICIANS and ARTISTS, not just guitar players.

The best lessons I've ever had were lessons in which I walked away saying "Man, I never KNEW that!" and its my goal that you have that experience, too. Whether its how to play that chord or write a melody, how to get the best sound out of those stomp boxes, or when genres like shoegazer and post-rock were invented and what they sound like... there's something to be learned in every lesson.
