I am a full time music student at Stetson University, where I am majoring in piano performance. The majority of my musical experience is in classical music; however, I do also have experience with performing jazz and popular music as a soloist, accompanist, and as part of an ensemble.

I have studied with the classical pianists Lise Templin, Erik Ettinger, and my present teacher, Michael Rickman. I am currently studying composition with Manuel de Murga; and, I have also studied with the jazz pianists and composers Michael Kramer, and Larry Minsky. 

I bring a laid back atmosphere with a thorough and eclectic curriculum to my lessons. I formulate lesson plans based on the individual needs and desires of a student, from the casual hobbyist to the serious student of music. I do not approach education with a “one size fits all” mindset.

I draw extensively on the Dalcroze, Orff, and Suzuki methods of music education, as well as personal experience. You can expect to receive a strong foundation in rhythm, note reading, and aural skills within about three months. Besides these skills, I also teach sight singing, sight reading, conducting, ensemble playing & accompanying, practice & memorization techniques, improvisation, composition/song writing, music theory, and other facets of music. I consider it my job to supply you with the knowledge and skills you need to achieve your musical goals both during our time together and later on in your life.
