Stanley has played drums for more than 20 years and has had success as a performer, a teacher and now as a recording artist.  He attended and graduated Grambling State University where he was a member of the World Famed Tiger Marching Band. 

He has played professionally for the past 10 years, recorded one full length gospel music project and currently recording a second.

As a teacher, Stanley has taught lessons for approximately 10 years, late 80s to late 90s until he began playing professionally.  His teaching experience includes lessons, summer drum camps and band camps, (cadences, rudiments, applied percussion, site reading, choreography, and wrote half time drills/shows).

With my experience, I can bring high interest to the FUNdamentals of learning to play drums.  Students can expect to learn and apply something new at every lesson.  Students will also learn to read snare drum music and get a basic understanding of common time signatures.

Lessons are relaxed and FUN.  After 6 months, students will be able to read and play snare drum music and keep a basic beat on a drum set.  Most students will start in an elementary method book and work their way up to more progressive levels.

FUNdamentals of rudiments starting with the basics in the elementary method books and progressing through the intermediate progressive levels. Genres include gospel and funk drumming and building and keeping a groove.
