Three ways to get started
This instructor passed a criminal background check.
I have been playing guitar for 7 years. I went to Musicians Institute from 3/07 to 3/08 and finished with a certificate in guitar. I specialize in acoustic guitar, rock and heavy metal. I also teach music theory. All of my teachings will come from what i have learned from Musicians Institute and Mt. San Antonio College. I teach the caged system for guitar. It is very beneficial for student because it connects the guitar with octave shapes and makes it much easier to place scales, chords, and arpeggios. I love to share my knowlege with beggining guitarist so they get the right start on playing the guitar. Once i teach the scales and chords and theory and so on, writing songs become much easier. Also you will be able to improvise over chord progressions. I have very good patience with students.
I am patient and go at the students pace. Every student is different so i will comply with the students needs. I will teach from the curriculum that was given to me at Musicians Institute. And i will add in stuff i learned on the side that was'nt in the books. From the first lesson the student will have handouts to work with between lessons and have a practice routine gone over. I will make sure each lesson the student is improving. Within the first couple of lessons the student will have been taught, octave shapes, scales, chords, rhthms, arpeggios, and music theory. What i teach the student will be usefull for all styles of music. I specialize in acoustic guitar, rock and heavy metal but what i teach can be applied to latin, blues, classical, and many other styles.
I know the most about hard rock, and heavy metal. I use the caged system to teach. I also teach acoustic alternative style.
