Kim began playing the violin at age 4, and continued on to graduate from the Interlochen Arts Academy in 2002. In addition to several summer music festivals and internships, she has taught privately and coached groups since the age of 16. Additionally pedagogy classes as a violin major at Northwestern University have prepared her to teach students of all ages and ability levels. Possessing an equal interest in solo and orchestral performance, Kim currently teaches and plays with assorted orchestras in the Chicago community.

I feel that lessons goals and objectives should be established at the beginning of the process, and are always contingent on the indiviual student and/or parent.
I was taught using the Suzuki method through age 11 , but have since taken pedagogy courses ranging from beginning to advanced intermediate levels.
