The teaching setting is friendly and very dynamic. Piano music genres vary from Pop/Rock/Contemporary through Jazz and classical. Whether the goal is an audition, recital, or simply to be able to play in a band, the approach is the same – modern, fun, and hands-on.
For drums/Percussion the styles vary and include all mainstream genres including world drums and hand Percussion.
My strongest genres for Piano instruction are Jazz/Pop/Rock and contemporary. I can teach these genres in all levels.
For classical performance I can teach beginner/intermediate levels.
For Drums and Percussion I can teach any genre including world rhythms.
I teach in a mixed style depending on the student's need and comfort - shapes, level singing, and sight reading, chord approach, and voicing shapes.
