Lesson Details

My purpose for each lesson is to help you meet your personal short and long term musical goals.  Each student has unique talents and a unique personality.  I use your natural gifts and objectives to meet your desired outcome.

I teach art songs, classical and musical theatre repertoire and occasionally have helped students with pop/rock. Throughout your time with me, I will strive to pick the best literature for you based on gender, age, experience, and student preference.  Every song that is chosen should help improve your skills, whether that means challenging yourself with other languages, styles or range.

In the first lesson I will spend time listening to your voice and learning about your current strengths.  I believe that each vocalist needs to learn about the physiological make-up of the singing voice and vocal mechanism.  I do this differently for each student to help you fully understand your voice. Lessons are often comprised of vocalizing and working through a piece of music.

I like teaching students of varying levels and enjoy watching my students grow and feel successful with their vocal progress.  Beginning students will feel encouraged through my patient and experienced teaching style.
